Police: Multiple Knives Used in Confrontation in Woodbridge

Police have charged Woodbridge resident Kanyarat Droste with attempted malicious wounding.

Police responded to Berkley Lane in Woodbridge on Nov. 17 at 3 a.m. for a domestic dispute.

"The victim, a 33-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed multiple knives and confronted the victim," Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said in a release. "The victim attempted to take the knives away and sustained minor cuts in the process. Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested."
