Police: Pepper Spray, Fake Gun, Two Arrests in Afternoon Fight

Verbal altercation escalated with both parties facing charges, according to Prince William County Police.

Two people are facing charges after fighting Monday afternoon at a home in the Dale City area of Woodbridge, according to the Prince William County Police.

Jeffrey Emmanuel Gelabert, 30, of the 4800 block of Kempair Drive, is charged with two counts of malicious wounding by caustic substance. Ciera Traci Berry, 20, of the 3600 block of Stewart Lane in Dumfries is charged with brandishing a firearm. Both were granted release on a $4,000 secured bond. 

Police responded at 2:45 p.m. to the home in the 4800 block of Kempair Drive regarding a fight with weapons. Gelabert and Berry were reportedly in a verbal altercation that escalated, according to a PWCPD release.

During the encounter, Gelabert allegedly sprayed Berry and two other victims with a substance described as pepper spray. Berry then allegedly brandished a pellet gun, which she portrayed as a handgun. The pellet gun was taken from her after a physical struggle ensued, according to police. 

The altercation was ended when Berry contacted police. No injuries were reported.
