Police: Rape, Break-In Arrest in Woodbridge

Suspect in May incident was identified through DNA evidence, according to Prince William County Police.

A rape suspect is in custody after a weeks-long search ended with the aid of DNA evidence, according to Prince William County Police.

Prince Riesaun Perkins, 32, of no fixed address, is charged with rape, forcible sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, burglary with intent to commit a felony, abduction with intent to defile while armed, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Perkins was arrested Wednesday at a home in the 16600 block of Galt Court in Woodbridge. He is being held without bond.

On May 28, officers responded to a call of a sexual assault in the 13700 block of Keelingwood Cl. in Woodbridge. The victim, 34, told police that she was asleep in her home when she awoke to find an unknown man in her bedroom.

The suspect, armed with a handgun, then allegedly raped the victim and then left the home. Two children were also in the apartment at the time of the incident, but were unharmed.
