Police Release CVS Robbery Surveillance Footage

A gunman entered the Dumfries CVS and demanded medications on Thursday, according to Prince William County Police.

An unusually large number of robberies on Thursday—two of which targeted adult video stores—have Manassas City and Prince William County police investigating if the incidents may be connected.

Four robberies took place Thursday, police said. Police are unsure yet if the robberies are connected. 

The first incident was around at 2:45 a.m. at the MVC located on Breeden Avenue in Manassas.  An employee reported to Manassas City Police that an unknown man entered the business, pulled out a gun and demanded money. An altercation ensued between the suspect and the employee, police said. The suspect fled the store, though police are uncertain if he fled on foot or in a car. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a black male, between 20-30 years old, 6', with a thin build. He was wearing a red, white, and black 'Michael Vick' jersey and had a white shirt wrapped around his face, police said. 

The next robbery was at the Check into Cash in Lake Ridge, around 10:14 a.m. An employee reported that an unknown man entered the business, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

Prince William County Police do not know yet if the suspect fled on foot or in a vehicle. Officers used a K-9  to search for the suspect.

The suspect in that case is described as a black male, about 30 years old, 5'9", 160-170 pounds, beard, with a thin build and medium complexion. He was wearing a black hat with straps, sunglasses, black zip jacket with a red trim, khakis, black gloves and carrying a small black backpack. 

Yet another robbery was reported at the CVS in Dumfries at 12:23 p.m., when a gunman entered the business and demanded medications. He stole pain medications, but no injuries. Police used a K-9 and helicopter to search for him. Officers are unsure if he fled on foot or in a car. 

The suspect is described as a black male, between 15-20 years of age, 6', 160 pounds, with a thick build and dark complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white sleeves, blue pants, white sneakers with black laces and sunglasses.

At 4:08 p.m. an MVC employee on Jefferson Davis Highway in Dumfries reported that another gunman entered the store and demanded money. He stole an undisclosed amount of money,  but no one was injured. A police K-9 was used in the search for the suspect. Police don't know if he fled on foot or in a car. 

The suspect is described as a black male, between 25-30 years old, 5'6", 160 pounds, with a thin build and goatee. He was wearing a green football jersey #20, white and gray straw sun hat and black sunglasses.
