Police Reports: Armed Robbery, Assault on Law Enforcement Officer

Man robbed on Sunday, man arrested for driving under the influence.

Prince William County police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a 31-year-old Woodbridge cab driver early Sunday morning.

Police reports said that the cab driver was in the 15200 block of Coachman Tr. when an unknown man approached him and asked for a ride. The man took out a handgun, demanded money from the driver, took the money and then fled on foot. 

The man with the gun is described as a black male, between 22 and 26-years-old, 5-foot-10, 150 pounds of thin build. He was last seen wearing a black "bubble" hooded coat and dark-colored jeans.

Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement Officer

A police officer was processing Ali Poheel Nusraty, 23, at the Garfield District Station in Woodbridge for a driving under the influence charge on Friday, Oct. 14.

Police said that while Nusraty was being booked, he allegedly kicked and struck the arresting officer in the hand. Minor injuries were reported and Nustray faces an additional charge of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
