Police Reports: Attempted Burglary, Felony ID Theft Charge

The following police information comes from the Prince William County Police and the City of Fredericksburg Police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Identity fraud 

Fredericksburg Police arrested a Woodbridge resident on a warrant from Prince William County charging Walter Mills, 29, of Woodbridge, with felony ID theft, felony credit card larceny, and felony credit card fraud.

Fredericksburg police said Mills was also arrested on a warrant from Stafford charging him with destruction of property, and on a warrant from Hanover charging him with failure to appear in court.

Man tries to enter through window

Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said police are looking for a Hispanic male after an attempted burglary Monday night.

A homeowner in the 13500 block of Cridercrest Drive told police that an unknown man was seen trying to enter the house through a window. Once the man was discovered, he fled on foot. Police responded to the area just before midnight and checked the area to no avail. No items were reported missing and the man was unable to get into the house. 

The man is described as between 20 and 30-years-old, 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds of medium build. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and matching sweatpants, said police.
