Police: Second Arrest in Strong-Armed Robbery

Break in the case came because suspects had followed victim after leaving a 7-Eleven, according to Prince William County Police.

The second suspect in a Saturday, July 12, strong armed robbery has been arrested in Alexandria, according to Prince William County Police.

James Tyrone Eaton, 22, of no fixed address, is charged with robbery and malicious wounding. He was arrested Friday. The other suspect in the case, Charles Barnes, was arrested on Sunday.

Officers responded to a robbery call at 10:58 a.m. Saturday in the area of Prince William Parkway and Jefferson Davis Highway. The victim, 24, of Woodbridge, told police that he was walking in the area when he was struck in the back of the head by two unknown men and lost consciousness.

The victim told police that he awoke at home and found that his wallet and cell phone was missing. He was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they were able to identify the suspects after learning they had followed the victim from a nearby 7-11.
