Police Seek Two Men in Three Armed Robberies on Black Friday

All robberies are believed to be related.

Police are looking for two black men after three armed robberies were committed the day after Thanksgiving, within 10 minutes of one another. 

The first armed robbery was at McDonalds off of Gideon Road at 4:40 a.m. Friday. The victim, a 13-year-old Woodbridge boy told police that he had just left the restaurant when two unknown men approached him. One man displayed a knife and took the boy’s PanDigital Tablet, valued at $200, before fleeing on foot.

At 4:41 a.m, police responded to Potomac Mills Mall for a second reported robbery in which a 15-year-old Dumfries boy told police two unknown men approached him. One man displayed a handgun and demanded all of the victim’s property. The men allegedly took the teen’s watch, cell phone and two pairs of jeans valued around $350. The men fled on foot.

The third robbery, reported at 4:45 a.m., police responded to the 2700 block of Metro Plaza where a 29-year-old man and 28-year-old woman said they were loading shopping gifts into their vehicle in the parking lot when two unknown men approached them. One man displayed a handgun and demanded money. The other took the victim’s purse from the vehicle, valued around $300.

No injuries were reported in each case, but police consider all three robberies related.

Police are looking for two black men, reported to be in their early 20s, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10 of medium build. Both were last seen wearing all dark clothing.
