Police: Shooting, Armed Robbery at Woodbridge Tobacco Business
The robbers reportedly took cash from the store.
Police are looking for two suspects who were reportedly involved in a shooting and armed robbery today at the US 1 Tobacco at 13434 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge.
Police responded to the business at 2:32 p.m. today for the report of a shooting.
"The investigation revealed that two armed men entered the business, approached two victims inside, and demanded money. During the encounter, one of the victims, an adult male, was shot," Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said in a release. "The men took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the store, unknown if on foot or in a vehicle. The victim is being transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. The other victim was not injured."
Area schools have taken recommended precautions. The investigation is ongoing. The suspects have been described as two males of an unknown race or age. One was described as wearing a mask.
