Police: Shots Fired After Argument

Two men were involved in a fight near Cardin Place, according to Prince William County Police.

A Woodbridge man fired a gun after an argument with an acquaintance escalated, Prince William County Police said.

Thomas Troy Williams, 28, of Cardin Place, is charged with reckless handling of a firearm and brandishing a firearm.

Police responded on Tuesday at 5:47 a.m. to the 15000 block of Cardin Place, after a caller reported that shots were fired. A 44-year-old Woodbrdige man reported that he and Williams were involved in an argument that escalated physically.

"The victim was leaving the residence when the accused followed him outside. Once outside, the accused displayed a handgun and fired it multiple times. The victim was not shot by any of the rounds," according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

Officers were unable to find Williams immediately, but obtained warrants for his arrest. They located him the next day and arrested him without any further incident, Perok said.
