Police: Suspect Strikes Officer, Resists Arrest

Prince William County Police were responding to a domestic dispute. No injuries were reported.

Prince William County Police arrested a Woodbridge woman Thursday night after she allegedly struck an officer, according to PWCPD spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

Genet Kibert, 47, of Winding Loop, was charged with assault and battery of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. Her court date is set for July 8 and she was released on personal recognizance.

Officers responded at 8:46 p.m. Thursday to the 14700 block of Winding Loop for a domestic dispute.

According to Perok, Kibert was intoxicated and agitated during the course of the investigation and struck an officer in the chest.

As officers were attempted to arrest Kibert, she reportedly resisted, but was eventually detained.
