Five teens face charges related to a strong-armed robbery Thursday evening in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.

Another boy of Dumfries, 14, is charged with malicious wounding by mob and the two other teens, one 14-years-old and one 15-years-old, both of Dumfries, are charged with assault by mob.

All suspects were charged with gang participation.

At 6:52 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 16700 block of Chowning Court regarding an assault. The victims, two teen boys of Woodbridge, told police they were involved in a fight with a group of other teens.

"During the encounter, the assailants took property from the victims after assaulting them," according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok. "Both victims were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries."

Officers learned that the assailants were local gang members, according to Perok, and detectives from the Robbery Unit and Gang Unit were able to identify and arrest the five suspects.
