Police have arrested Woodbridge resident Larry Lomax, 30, and Manassas resident Joshua Simmons, 25, as part of a narcotics investigation into the distribution of heroin, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.
Street Crimes Unit detectives wrapped up their investigation on Aug. 21, but the arrest information was held for investigative purposes. The arrests were made during a traffic stop near Lake Jackson Drive and Walker Drive in Manassas.
"Both arrests were made without incident," Perok said. "During a search, heroin and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were located."
Lomax was charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule I/II narcotic and distribution of a schedule I/II narcotic. Simmons was charged with possession of a schedule I/II narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of justice.
Their court date is Oct. 11 and their bond information is unavailable.
