Police: Two Men Snatch Woman's Purse in Potomac Mills Parking Lot

Prince William County Police release mall security footage in hopes of identifying suspects.

Police are seeking help in identifying two suspects in a purse snatching late Tuesday in the parking lot at Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.

A Fairfax woman, 39, was walking to her car in the JCPenny's parking lot at 9:30 p.m. when two men approached her from behind. The men grabbed the victim’s purse and immediately fled on foot.

No injuries were reported. Police were unable to track down the suspects, but provided security footage from inside the mall of the two suspects.

According to police, the suspects are described as 2 black males, both between 16 and 20 years of age, 5’10”, 145lbs with thin builds. 

The first suspect was last seen wearing a hooded red jacket with a white zipper, tan colored pants, and black and white shoes. The second suspect was last seen wearing a hooded black jacket with white stripes down the arms, dark colored pants and dark colored shoes.
