Police Update Bank Robber Suspect Description

Prince William County Police previously described the Burke and Herbert Bank robber suspect as a white male, and now describe him as a male of an unknown race.

Police are asking the public to assist them in identifying a man who reportedly robbed Burke and Herbert Bank at 14008 Smoketown Road in Woodbridge on Feb. 23, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

In a previous release, police described the suspect as a white male, about 5-foot-7, weighing about 160 to 170 pounds, of a medium build with a tear drop tattoo by his left eye. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a white turtleneck shirt and jeans. Police now describe him as a male of an unknown race. The rest of the description is unchanged.

Employees told police that an unknown man came into the bank, walked up to the counter and passed the teller a note demanding money.
