Police Update: Noises from House Lead to Attempted Burglary

Police update for Sept. 15.

Yesterday, at 12:20 p.m. a homeowner at the 14900 block of Alaska Road told Prince William County Police that he came home and reportedly heard noises from the back of his house.

Apparently the screen from the kitchen window was off the track and a rear window was broken. Police said items in the homeowner's basement were out of place.

The victim's neighbor said that an unknown man was seen knocking on the house earlier in the day.

Despite the broken window and strewn items no entry appeared to be made and no items were reported as missing.

Police are looking for a man described as being between 18-25, five feet, ten inches tall, 150 pounds with a thin build.  The suspect is reportedly African-American with black hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt.
