Police: Walmart Cashier Robbed at the Register

Unknown suspect grabbed cash when the register was opened, according to Prince William County Police.

A Walmart cashier was robbed in the middle of day Wednesday — and in the middle of checking out customers.

Police responded to a report of a robbery in progress at 1:57 p.m. Wednesday at the Walmart on Worth Avenue.

The cashier told police she was checking out another customer. After she opened the register, an unknown man pushed her aside and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported and the suspect fled on foot, according to police. Employees told officers that the same man was in the store earlier that day and he had taken two packs of cigarettes without paying.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 45 and 50 years of age, 6’0”, 170lbs with a thin build, short brown hair and a mustache. He was wearing a dark blue puffy coat, blue jeans, dark blue hat with a light blue emblem and black shoes.
