Police: Woman Jumps on Hood of Cruiser, Assaults Officer

Officers were responding to a domestic dispute, according to Prince William County Police.

Officers arresting an individual for public intoxication ended up making a second arrest after a woman jumped on the hood of a police cruiser and went on to repeatedly kick an officer, according to Prince William County Police.

Franchesca Marquita Jackson, 31, of the 13100 block of Minnieville Rd was charged with assault & battery on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and obstruction of justice.

Officers had first responded to the suspect's home to investigate a domestic disturbance. Another individual was arrested for public intoxication. After that person had been placed in custody, Jackson reportedly became disorderly toward officers, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.

Officers were attempting to leave the scene when Jackson jumped on the hood of the police cruiser and refused to get off, according to Perok.

"Officers attempted to remove the accused from the hood which led to a struggle," he said. "During the altercation, the accused kicked one of the officers multiple times to his knee."

Jackson was eventually detained. Minor injuries were reported.
