Police: Woodbridge Man Assaulted, Robbed of Cash, Shoes, Cell Phone

A group of suspects was reportedly involved.

Police are looking for a group of suspects who reportedly assaulted and robbed a Woodbridge man on Oct. 13, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Police responded to the 12300 block of Woodlawn Court in Woodbridge on Oct. 13 at 12:48 a.m. for the report of a robbery. 

"The victim, a 27-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and a friend drove to an unknown residence in the above area," Perok said. "Once there, the victim’s friend exited the vehicle and approached a group of unknown males. The encounter turned into a verbal altercation before escalating physically. The group then approached the victim who attempted to run away. The group caught up to the victim and assaulted him before talking his cell phone, shoes, and undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. After taking the victim’s property, the group fled on foot."

The group of suspects was described as black or Hispanic men between 20 and 30 years old. No clothing descriptions given.
