Police: Woodbridge Man Charged With Abduction and Assault

Police have charged Quentin Bowens, 29, of Woodbridge, with abduction and domestic assault and battery after a woman reported that he had shut her in a bedroom and refused to let her out, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

Police responded to Golf Side Circle in Woodbridge on Sept. 13 at 9:22 p.m. for a report of a domestic incident.

"The victim, a 29-year-old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation," Perok said. "During the encounter, the accused forced the victim to a bedroom in the home where he assaulted her and refused to let her leave. Another acquaintance to the victim was able to get into the apartment after hearing the victim scream. After a brief encounter, the accused left the residence and fled the area."

The victim sustained minor injuries. After an investigation, police got out warrants against Bowens. He was arrested without incident on Sept. 14.

Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, warrants were obtained against the accused. The accused was later arrested on September 14th without incident. His court date is unavailable.
