The victim was taken to a hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police charged Woodbridge resident Marvin Cabrera with malicious wounding after a man claimed that he had been struck in the face with a glass bottle, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Police initially responded on Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway for the report of an assault.

"The victim, a 40-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was involved in a physical altercation with the accused and another known male acquaintance," Perok said. "During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in his face with a glass bottle. The victim sustained significant injuries to his face and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Injuries were non-life threatening. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused. The accused was eventually arrested the next day."
