Police initially respondedat 11:20 p.m. Monday to the 4000 block of Graham Park Road for the report of a robbery.
"The victim, a 36-year-old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was making a deposit at the Bank of America in the above area when three unknown men approached him," Perok said. "One of the men had a knife and demanded money from the victim. The men assaulted the victim and threw him to the ground before taking the victim’s vehicle and fleeing the area."
The victim sustained minor injuries.
