A Woodbridge woman threw a knife at an acquaintance Thursday evening, hitting him on the arm, Prince William County Police said.
Shawnice Tiffany John, 23, of Capon Tree Lane, is charged with malicious wounding.
Police responded to the 16700 block of Capon Tree Lane at 8:28 p.m., when a 33-year-old man reported the assault. The man told police that he and John were involved in an argument when she picked up a knife and threw it at him. Other people inside the home broke up the fight and after an investigation, police arrested John.
She is held without bond pending her court date.
