PWC Police Advise on Hurricane Irene

Do not call 911 unless it is an absolute emergency.

The Prince William County Police is monitoring the storm and will bring in additional staffing and equipment as needed. As of right now, no additional officers have been brought in.

We do recommend residents stay in their homes and off the roadways during peak times of the storms to allow emergency vehicles to respond to calls and to clear the roadway in the event debris is present.

We are also asking that residents not call 911 unless it is an emergency. Power outages should be reported to the respective power company. Any non-life threatening police related calls are asked to go through the non-emergency line at 703-792-6500.
