Another man was also stabbed as he fought the suspect, Prince William County Police said.
A security guard was stabbed as he tried to break up a fight at a bar in Woodbridge early Wednesday morning, according to Prince William County Police.
Police responded at 1:34 a.m. to the K2 Restaurant Lounge on Jefferson Davis Highway, where they found that a fight had broken out in the bar area. A 24-year-old Woodbridge man and a suspect had gotten involved in the fight, along with other patrons.
"During the encounter, the unknown man allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim to his lower body," police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said. "A security guard, a 49 year old man of Manassas, attempted to intervene and was also stabbed to his abdomen."
The assailant left before police arrived, but is described as 30-35 years old, black, 6'2", 170 pounds, with a thin build, dark complexion and short hair. He was wearing khaki shorts and a green shirt.
Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
