Police Investigating Shooting on Wentwood Lane in Woodbridge

Two male victims are being transported to a hospital.

Update, 6:50 p.m.:

Both victims of the shooting are expected to survive, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

"At 5:45 p.m., detectives detained a suspect believed to be the shooter," Perok said. "No further information is available at this time. Investigation continues."

Police are investigating a shooting that occurred today in the 15200 block of Wentwood Lane in Woodbridge, a post on the Prince William County Police Department's Facebook page reported.

Two male victims with gunshot wounds are being airlifted to a hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. 

"We are in the early stages of the investigation," a representative of the PWC Police Department posted in a comment on the Facebook page. "It appears the shooting is not random and those involved are acquaintances."
