Shot Fired, Windows Shattered in Woodbridge Burglaries

No one was injured.

Shot fired in Woodbridge burglary. Police responded to the 15900 block of Canada Goose Loop in Woodbridge on Nov. 26 at 7:52 a.m. for the report of a burglary in progress. The homeowner told police that an unknown man had tried to get into his house by breaking a window. 

"When the homeowner confronted the man, the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded to be let into the house.  During the encounter, the homeowner retrieved his own weapon and fired a shot inside the residence," Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said in a release. "The homeowner was able to flee the home and contact police. Officers conducted a search of the residence. The suspect was not located."

The homeowner could not describe the suspect to police. No one was injured. 

"At this point in the investigation, this incident does not appear to be random. The investigation continues," Perok said. 

Window shattered in attempted burglary in Woodbridge. Police responded to the 13400 block of Millwood Drive in Woodbridge on Nov. 23 at 7:26 pm. for the report of an attempted burglary. 

"The homeowner reported to police that he was inside his home when he heard the sound of glass break," Perok said. "Upon checking the residence, the homeowner discovered a window was broken out and that the screen had been cut."

The homeowner saw no suspects and no one got into the home.
