Woodbridge Man's Death Spurs Murder Investigation

The victim was reportedly last seen on Nov. 10.

Police are investigating a suspicious death as a murder after a 78-year-old Woodbridge man was found dead inside a Woodbridge residence on Tuesday, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Police responded to the 3400 block of Caledonia Circle in Woodbridge on Tuesday at 8:14 p.m.

"The caller reported to police that she went to visit her friend who resided at a home in the above area. Upon arriving, the caller found the door to the residence unsecured and contacted police," Perok said. "Officers arrived and conducted a search of the home, finding the victim inside the residence. The victim had sustained an injury to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene."

The victim had reportedly last been seen on Nov. 10. 

"At this time, detectives from the Homicide Unit are currently investigating this death as a murder," Perok said. "The investigation continues."
