Teen Charged With Trying to Rob Another Teen in Dumfries

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Police have charged a Dumfries male teen, 17, with robbery after a female teen reported being assaulted during a robbery attempt, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

Police responded on Nov. 6 at 11:28 p.m. to Brittany Park at 4100 Exeter Drive in Dumfries for the report of a robbery which allegedly occurred earlier that day. 

"The victim, a 17-year-old female of Dumfries, reported to police that she met up with the accused, a known acquaintance, in the above area," Perok said. "During the encounter, the accused assaulted the victim and demanded her property. After the altercation, the accused fled the area. Minor injuries were reported and no property was taken."

The male teen was arrested Nov. 6 and is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center.
