Teen Seriously Injured in Dale City Assault
An acquaintance attacked the 18-year-old male, according to Prince William County Police.
A Woodbridge teenager sustained serious injuries after he was assaulted by an acquaintance, according to Prince William County Police.
The 18-year-old victim reported on Monday at 10:05 p.m. that he was assaulted near Whitaker Place and Savannah Drive. He told police that he was walking in the area when two men approached him, one of whom was an acquaintance.
"As the victim walked by the men, the known male struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object. The man continued to assault the victim, knocking him to the ground at one point," Officer Jonathan Perok, a spokesman for the department, said in a press release.
Perok said that the victim was able to get up and away from the men, but he was seriously injured. The men fled in the opposite direction. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police continue to investigate the incident.
