Teen Shot in Leg, Police Search for Suspect

Incident Sunday morning in Dumfries, according to Prince William County Police.

One teen was shot and another teen is wanted in an incident Sunday morning in Dumfries, according to Prince William County Police.

Aboubaker Siriki Bamba, 18, of the 3900 block of Oakdale Circle in Triangle, is wanted for malicious wounding and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is described as a black male, 5’10”, 180lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.  

At 1:06 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to the 3600 block of Stewart Lane in Dumfries to investigate a shooting.

The victim, 17, of Tappahannock, told police he was confronted by a group of men at his home. During the encounter, one of the men shot the victim in the leg, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

"This incident escalated following an ongoing dispute between two groups," Perok said in a statement. 

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
