Three Armed Suspects in Home Invasion Not Yet Identified

Incident in Lake Ridge area prompted school lockdown Thursday, Prince William County Police said.

After Thursday's precautionary lockdown at Woodbridge High and area schools, police are still looking for three armed suspects who reportedly invaded a home on Colebrook Court in the Lake Ridge area, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Police initially responded to the residence on April 18 at 12:12 p.m. for the report of a burglary in progress. The homeowner told police that three masked men broke into the home through a rear glass door.

"Once inside, the men displayed handguns and ransacked several rooms within the residence before fleeing on foot," Perok said. "No property was taken and no injuries were reported. A witness nearby reported that they observed three men getting into a sedan and fleeing the area."

The incident is most likely not random, Perok added. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are looking for three black men. The first was between 20 and 25 years old, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a thin build, and was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, and a white bandana over his face. The second was between 25 and 30 years old, with short hair, a black and red striped T-shirt, jean shorts, and black boots. And the third was of an unknown age, about 6-foot-3 in height, with a heavy build, and was last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Police are also looking for an older white full-sized sedan: either a Ford Crown Victoria, or something similar.
