Police: Man Tied to String of Burglaries in Woodbridge, Triangle

The man allegedly burglarized Woodbridge Tobacco Zone and PJ's Variety Store, according to Prince William County Police.

Prince William County Police say that a local man carried out three recent burglaries in the Woodbridge and Triangle area.

Robert Darryl Williams, 48, of Fuller Heights Road, Triangle, is charged with three counts of burglary, destruction of property and grand larceny.

Police said that they connected Williams to the burglaries after they reviewed surveillance footage from PJ's Variety Store on Fuller Heights Road in Triangle. The alarm went off at 2:52 a.m. July 9, and officers determined that someone had tried to enter the store. No one entered and nothing was missing; however, it was the second time in a matter of weeks that someone had targeted the store.

On June 23 at 1:13 a.m. police found a front glass door broken out and an alarm going off at the store. 20 cartons of cigarettes, valued around $870, were missing. Surveillance footage showed the suspect entering the store and fleeing, police said.

Police also said that Williams was connected to a June 24 burglary at the Tobacco Zone on Build America Drive. A vehicle struck the front of the store at 12:11 a.m. Though someone entered the store, no property was reported missing.

Williams' court date is set for Aug. 21.
