Police Seek Two Men in Dumfries Armed Robbery Attempt

Incident near Dumfries Road and Jefferson Davis Highway, according to Prince William County Police.

Prince William County Police detectives are searching for two men after an armed robbery late Saturday in Dumfries, according to police spokesperson Jonathan Perok.

Police responded at 11:52 p.m. to the area of Dumfries Road and Jefferson Davis Highway. The victim, 21, of Annandale, told police that he'd arranged to meet a man in the area to purchase cell phones.

"When the victim arrived, the man did not have the property," Perok said. "The victim then attempted to leave, at which point, a second unknown man approached the victim and displayed a handgun."

The victim ran from the two men and called 9-1-1. No injuries were reported and no property was taken, according to Perok.

The suspects were described as two black males:

  • The first man was between 28- and 30-years-old, 6’0”, 160 lbs, with a thin build, dark complexion, short, curly black hair, brown eyes, a beard and a tattoo on his upper arm. Last seen wearing a black fleece jacket and black pants.
  • The second man, identified as the armed suspect, was between 22- and 26-years-old, 5’7”, 200 lbs, with a medium build, dark complexion, and short, curly black hair. Last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.
