Two Woodbridge Teens Arrested in Attempted Strong Armed Robbery

Tow truck driver allegedly assaulted by the teens.

Prince William County Police arrested two Woodbridge teenaged boys after an alleged confrontation and assault. 

A 28-year-old Fredericksburg man told police that he was about to tow an illegally parked vehicle in the 16600 block of Galt Court on Saturday night when he was approached by three unknown males.

One of the males told the tow truck driver he was the driver of the car that waws about to be towed. Police said a confrontation ensued between the tow truck driver and two of the males. The man says he was assaulted by the two males who attempted to take his phone, which he had been using to contact police. The two males fled the area on foot and minor injuries were reported.

A police K-9 unit found the two males and later determined them to be the two assailants. The third male was determined not to have been involved in the incident and was not charged.

Police arrested two teens, 16 and 17-years-old; both were charge with robbery. A court date is unavailable and both were held at a juvenile detention facility.
