Vacant Structure Fire Causes $500 in Damage

Fire and rescue units found the fire in the ground floor of the empty house.

Prince William County Fire and Rescue units responded to a structure fire on Monday in the 2700 block of Caton Hill Road.

Units arrived at 1 p.m. on Monday and saw smoke showing from a vacant, two-story home. 

The fire was located in a bedroom on the ground floor and extinguished. No injuries were reported and the blaze is under investigation.

The Fire Marshal’s office said the property is valued at $33,000 and preliminary damages are estimated at $500.
