Woman Walking Dog Reports Attempted Abduction

The victim said that an unknown man grabbed her shoulder, but she was able to pull away.

A woman was out walking her dog Saturday morning when a man reportedly tried to abduct her, Prince William County Police said.

Police responded to the incident at 8:27 a.m. to the incident on the 13960 block of Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge, just behind the Rodeway Inn. The 46-year-old woman reported that she was walking her dog in the lot adjacent to the rear of the Inn when an unknown man approached her. He grabbed her shoulder, but she was able to pull away. The man fled without saying a word.

The victim did not report any injuries.

The suspect was described as a male between 30 and 35 years old, Hispanic, about 5'7", around 175-180 pounds, with shoulder-length, unkempt hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a lime green jacket with blue lining around the neckline, black pants, red hooded sweatshirt and light-colored cowboy boots.

I am so glad you mentioned that Wendy. Coming from NY to Woodbridge VA that was my number 1 complaint and I was witness to coming in going to the fridge and taking beer in front of the person behind the counter and walk right out. The guy behind the counter told me he can't do anything cause he has come and go to work and he don't want to get beat up and I could totally understand that. I understand that not all of them all bad people but the ones causing problems need to be arrested and deported immediately enough is freaking enough. We don't pay taxes so they don't and the intimidate us doing our regular routine.

Prince William County Police won't do squat or use the 287G powers anymore. Maybe writing letters to the council might help - I don't know but it makes me want to throw up to drive on that portion on Route 1 and you can't go to either 7/11 because its too dangerous. I am also surprised that the church and middle school that are there don't do anything about it. I wouldn't dare let my child go to a school that is that close to day laborers. Too many of them are sexual predators that aren't in the system because they are illegal. If I was the IRS, I would sit a car there and track all the license plates and go after the owners and people hiring them for taxes. I could go on all day about this.

I saw the guy in the sketch a couple of times in the GEICO caveman commercials.

For those of you blaming the police of not doing their jobs, understand two things.....if the establishment doesn't call the police to get their parking lots cleared, there is really nothing that the police can do. Also, PWC was one of the few counties in the region that TRIED to ensure that documentation was possessed by individuals that committed a crime, but ICE refuses to pick them up, so it is probably real irritating that people they arrest do some time and are right back out (probably before the ink dries on their reports).
