Fight at Potomac Mills Carnival

Prince William County police are continuing an investigation into an alleged fight in the parking lot of on Sunday.

Police responded to the mall on the evening of April 1 where a 23-year-old Alexandria man told police he and a 19-year-old woman were approached by three known acquaintances.

“During the encounter, the victim was knocked to the ground and assaulted by the men,” said police spokesperson Jonathan Perok. “The men fled prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.”

Fight Near Potomac Mills Mall

Police responded to the 14300 block of Potomac Mills Road on March 31 at 2:13 a.m. for a fight. Perok said the victims, Woodbridge men aged 32 and 25, were attempting to break up a separate fight near the mall when they were both assaulted by a group of unknown persons.

The victims sustained minor injuries during the encounter and the group of assailants dispersed before police arrived. No descriptions of the assailants were provided to police.

Brandishing a Firearm at McDonald’s

Police were called to the McDonald’s at 14591 Jefferson Davis Hwy Woodbridge on Sunday at 2:08 a.m. when a 20-year-old Charlotte, NC man and a  16-year-old Woodbridge teen told police a man pointed a gun at them.

According to police reports, the two men had gotten out of their vehicle and were walking into McDonald’s when an unknown red vehicle pulled up next to them. An unknown black male was sitting in the front passenger seat, allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victims. 

Both victims ran from the area and contacted police. No injuries were reported and no property was taken.

Burglary off of West Longview Drive

Police are on the lookout for two black males after a neighbor in the 1900 block of Richmond Avenue allegedly saw them flee a residence.

Officers arrived on March 31 at 8:10 p.m. and found the residence was entered through a rear patio door that had been forced open. 

A perimeter was established in the surrounding neighborhood and a police K-9 unit was used in the search for the suspects, police said.

During the police canvas, a second residence on the same block had been entered through a rear basement window that had been broken out. No property was reported missing in either residence.

Police are looking for two black men reported to be between 18 and 25-years-old. The first man had short black hair and was last seen wearing a white and black shirt and black pants. The second man had long black hair and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. 

No further descriptions were available for either suspect, police said.
