Woodbridge Driver Charged in Fatal Accident On Dulles Access Road

All eastbound lanes now reopened after SuperShuttle van collides with barrier

The driver of the SuperShuttle van that crashed into a jersey wall this morning and killed a passenger has been charged with reckless driving.

The driver, Macadolf Hoffman, 59, of Woodbridge, VA, was charged with the class one misdemeanor, MWAA spokesman Rob Yingling said.

Police have identified the passenger who died in the crash, but are attempting to notify the victim's family before releasing the identity, Yingling said. That passenger was ejected from the vehicle after it hit the jersey wall on the left side, Yingling said.
