Woodbridge Man Charged with Burglary

Following information comes from the Prince William County police department. Where arrests or convictions are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

Prince William County Police arrested a 26-year-old Woodbridge man Tuesday for a burglary in the 4600 block of Abbott Court in Woodbridge.

A homeowner on Abbott Court reported to police that an unknown male was found inside a vehicle in the garage. 

There was no physical contact or verbal exchange between the homeowner and the accused, but the accused fled on foot when discovered by the homeowner. The accused was found by police nearby and was arrested without incident.

He is charged with burglary and has a court date set for July 31. He is being held without bond.

Burglary/Destruction of Property
At at 3:39 a.m. on June 19 police responded to the 3900 block of Silk Tree Court for a reported burglary. The homeowner heard what she believed to be glass breaking and contacted police. No contact was made with the suspect(s). Suspect(s) are believed to have fled the scene prior to police arrival from a security system alarm. No items were reported missing. Entry appeared to have been made through a broken rear window.
