Woodbridge Man Charged With Drugged Driving, Hit and Run
The accused was also charged with eluding the police.
Police have charged William Pederson, 48, of Woodbridge, with felony eluding, hit & run, driving under the influence, and possession of a schedule I or II narcotic, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.
A PWC police officer reportedly tried to stop a vehicle near Jefferson Davis Highway and Cardinal Drive in Woodbridge on Nov. 11 at 3:07 p.m. for a traffic violation.
"The vehicle failed to stop and continued to the area of Daniel Stuart Square where officers stopped following the vehicle," Perok said. "The vehicle was then seen exiting the Horner Road commuter lot where the driver failed to stop upon exiting and struck an occupied vehicle. Officers responded to the vehicle owner’s registered address where the accused was located and arrested without further incident. The vehicle was later recovered in a nearby neighborhood. Upon search of the accused, suspect PCP was discovered. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested."
