Rape Alleged at House Party in Woodbridge

Suspect also charged with using the blunt part of machete to strike another man, Prince William County Police said.

Police have charged a Woodbridge man with aggravated sexual battery, malicious wounding and destruction of property after a Woodbridge woman reported being raped at a local house party, Prince William County Police said. 

Carlos Roberto Osorio, 22, was arrested April 6. Earlier that same evening, police responded to the house party for the report of a sexual assault.

"The investigation revealed that the accused had sexually assaulted the victim, a 26-year-old woman of Woodbridge, while in a bedroom," said PWCPD spokesman Jonathan Perok. "Another occupant of the residence, a 33-year-old man of Woodbridge, entered the room and confronted the accused. At that point, the accused struck him in the head with the flat part of a machete."

Osorio then allegedly left the house.

"The accused was not known to the victim and was attending a party at the residence at the time of the encounter," Perok said.

Osorio's court date and bond information are unavailable.
