Woodbridge Man Charged With Striking Man With Metal Yard Stick

The victim sustained minor injuries in the arm.

A 27-year-old Woodbridge man has been charged with attempted malicious wounding and unlawful wounding after an incident in which a Woodbridge man was reportedly struck in the arm with a metal yard stick in the 4800 block of Kellogg Drive on Aug. 4, Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Police responded to the above area at 8:05 p.m. that same night. 

"The victim, a 21-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, attempted to strike him with a vehicle while in the above area," Perok said. "The victim was able to get out of the way to avoid being hit. The accused then parked the vehicle, grabbed a metal yard stick and struck the victim in the arm causing minor injuries."

Police arrested the accused at his home without incident.

Moises Rivas Alfaro was charged with attempted malicious wounding and unlawful wounding. His court date is Aug. 29. He is being held without bond.
