Woodbridge Man Found Unconscious After Possible Malicious Wounding

The 27-year-old victim was found with severe head injuries.

Police are investigating a possible malicious wounding after a 27-year-old Woodbridge man was found unconscious in the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Highway on July 8, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. 

"The victim...was found, in the area above, unconscious with injuries to the head," Perok said. 

After an investigation after they arrived at 4:54 a.m., police found that the victim had been in a physical fight with at least one known acquaintance.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, since he was suffering from severe head injuries.

"This incident does not appear to be random," Perok said.
