Woodbridge Man Killed in Tuesday's Crash

Fatal crash with a school bus caused the road to be closed Tuesday afternoon.

A Woodbridge man driving a Toyota Camry was killed in a crash with a school bus on Minnieville Road Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The driver of the Camry has been identified as Stephen Agyin, 28 of Woodbridge. Agyin was driving southbound on Minnieville Road Tuesday when he lost control and ran off the right side of the roadway. Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok said that it was unknown why Agyin lost control.

Police reports state that Agyin then overcorrected and crossed paths in front of the Prince William County school bus which was traveling northbound on Minnieville Road. The collision caused the school bus to run off the roadway and strike a tree.

Agyin was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, alcohol was not a factor but the car was traveling above the posted speed  limit.

The crash occurred between Conway Drive and Rt. 234 at about 1:43 p.m., said Prince William County Police spokesman Jonathan Perok. The driver of the school bus was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.

Editor's Note: A previous version of this article stated that speed was not a factor in the crash. It has since been corrected, we regret the error.
