Woodbridge Man Reportedly Beaten by Two Unknown Men

The investigation continues.

Police are investigating the reported malicious wounding of a Woodbridge man by two unknown assailants, Prince William County Police Public Information Officer Jonathan Perok said. 

The assault reportedly occurred on Aug. 15 shortly after midnight. Police responded at 12:27 a.m. to the 2600 block of Oak Valley Drive in Woodbridge. 

"The victim, an 18-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was involved in a verbal altercation with two unknown men which escalated," Perok said. "During the encounter the men struck the victim numerous times in the head and body. Following the incident, the men fled the area."

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

"This incident did not appear to be random," Perok said.
