Chautauqua County law enforcement believe that Taglianetti has returned south.

"We believe that he is in or around the state of Virginia," Gerace told Patch. "Where exactly, we don't know at this time."

"This isn't a random act of violence," Gerace said in The Buffalo News article. "This individual wanted to do harm to Mr. Reed."

Reed's funeral is Friday in Salamanca, his hometown, The Associated Press reported in the Star Gazette.

The Prince William County Police Department is working with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office on this investigation. If you have information about the whereabouts of Taglianetti, call the PWC Police at 571-238-0731.
