Woodbridge Middle School Teacher Accused of Attempted Indecent Liberties with Female Student

Three days ago a Beville Middle School teacher was arrested for a similar charge.

Prince William County police have charged a teacher at after he allegedly touched a 13-year-old female student inappropriately. 

David F. Blount, 62, of 114 Brafferton Blvd in Stafford, faces a charge of attempted indecent liberties by a custodian.

Police say that Blount allegedly inappropriately touched the victim while at school in his charge as a student. Blount was arrested May 11 in Stafford County after police investigated the claim on May 10.

According to Woodbridge Middle School's faculty directory, Blount is a 7th and 8th grade special education teacher. Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that, to his knowledge, there were no witnesses to the incident. 

Ken Blackstone, Director of Communication with Prince William County Schools, said that Blount had been employed as a special education teacher at the school since 2006. Blackstone also said Blount is on administrative leave without pay.

Blount is held on a $2,500 secured bond but his court date is not immediately available. 

In a letter written by principal Skyles Calhoun that went home with students May 12, Calhoun said the teacher has been placed on administrative leave. 

"While we are limited in what we can say during the police investigation of this matter, I can tell you that Mr. Blount has been placed on administrative leave and will not be at school pending the outcome of this case. Please know that the safety of our students and staff at Woodbridge Middle School is our highest priority."

This report comes in the same week that a charged for a similar incident.
