Woodbridge Suspects Wanted in 'Blue Dragon' Drug Bust

Police have taken 31 suspects into custody in connection with the "Blue Dragon" operation, a drug bust at various locations across Prince William County. Several of the suspects are from Woodbridge, and of the 10 that are still wanted, six are from eastern Prince William County, according to a release from Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok. 

Detectives wrapped up the operation, which focused on "street level buys of prescription medications and heroin" on Nov. 12. Locally, George Beddoe, Jerrod Cochran, Mary Belle Coleman, Guy Dubois Jr., Heather Escalante, Travis Faith, Robert Faith, Tiffany Fertsch, Afred Hines Jr., Larry Lomax, Daniel Melvin, Steven Osborne Jr. and Vicki Peterson were arrested. Wanted suspects include Stacey Carter of Triangle, Johnathan Coleman of Woodbridge, Taisheem Cousar of Woodbridge, Rufus Covington of Woodbridge, Travis Crockett of Woodbridge and Jeremy Riley of Woodbridge.

"The operation, dubbed 'Blue Dragon,' began in September of 2013 and over the course of the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for 41 individuals, 31 of which are now in custody. Detectives also executed search warrants at seven different target locations," Perok said in the release.

  • 3516 Bath Ct in Woodbridge
  • 9402 Lomond Dr in Manassas
  • 122 Walden St in the City of Manassas Park
  • 8667 Braxted Ln in the City of Manassas
  • 4129 Hoffman Dr in Woodbridge
  • 288 Manassas Dr in the City of Manassas Park
  • 9717 Kennoway Ct in Bristow

"After each arrest was made, detectives educated the individual on substance abuse and provided him or her with a pamphlet and other information on how to receive help for their addiction," Perok added.

Prince William County Police remind residents to keep medications secure in their homes and follow their doctor's instructions for taking prescribed medicines. Residents should also ask a physician or pharmacist how to dispose of expired or unneeded medications.
