Police: Two Teens Charged With Raping Girl in Mall Parking Lot

The 17-year-old Woodbridge male was arrested March 1, Prince William County Police said.

Police have charged two teens, including a 17-year-old Woodbridge male, with rape after a young girl, 13, reported being sexually assaulted in a car in the Potomac Mills Mall parking lot, Prince William County Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said.

Special Victims Unit detectives began investigating the assault on March 1, a day after it reportedly occurred.

"The investigation revealed that the victim, a 13-year-old female of Falls Church, was staying with a male friend at his address in Woodbridge," Perok said. "Later that evening, the victim, a friend, and another male drove to a parking lot in the above area where the two males raped her. After the encounter, the males left the victim at a nearby location where the victim was able to flag down a citizen who contacted police."
